Jill McKnight was born and raised in Delta, where she learned early on that leadership isn’t about seeking the spotlight—it’s about lifting others up, uniting people, and creating meaningful change.

For 28 years, Jill and her family were the owners of South Coast Casuals in Ladner, and for over 20 years, she worked with the Ladner Village Market. These experiences provided her with invaluable lessons in listening to people, building relationships, and understanding the challenges of entrepreneurship. For the past three and a half years, Jill has served as the Executive Director of the Delta Chamber of Commerce where she has advocated for local businesses and residents. Jill is a dedicated community volunteer with the Ladner Business Association, including five years as president.

Her deep commitment to community service is also evident in her efforts to raise awareness for local causes including the Delta Hospital and Community Health Foundation, the BC Cancer Foundation and Dress for Success. Jill has been recognized with the King Charles III Coronation Medal, the Queen’s Jubilee Award and the 2019 Volunteer of the Year Award for her work.

Passionate about strengthening Delta’s communities, Jill McKnight is dedicated to ensuring that Delta has a strong voice in the decisions that affect its future. As Delta grows and changes, she believes Delta needs a leader who will advocate for sustainable growth, invest in critical infrastructure, and support local businesses. She is committed to leading with authenticity, collaboration, and a respect for the diverse voices of the people she seeks to serve.
